Tsuga’s Children

This post would be about discovering the joy of reading an innocent Children’s book in innocent times.

I discovered Tsuga’s Children few months ago and read it over a day. I liked the book immensely, it doesn’t have any hidden agendas nor does it try to be dangerous or overly heroic like the famous/infamous ‘Harry Potter’ or LOTR or some of the other books. The author Thomas Williams has a very lucid and flowing way to keep the reader interested. Violence has been kept to the very minimum and whatever there is, is at the very end of the story. The book does ok at around 256 pages and one doesn’t need to overexert and know any culture/civilizations etc.

I liked it for its simpleness and using mystery and adventure as the main weapon. I could visualize it both as a game and as well as a screenplay as an independent movie project rather than the mish-mash the Hollywood biggies come up with.

I would recommend it for children and make-believe adults 😛 of all ages.

Signing off for now 🙂
